three beeps

So the past two mornings, when I go outside to start my car to go to class I hear 3 loud beeps, almost like a radar detector...but from the rear of the car. I'm lost! Anyone have an idea?

Search around for "backup alarm battery" - I think the backup battery for the alarm system is in the trunk - near one of the taillight areas. I've read other people on here with the same beeping, and that's what it was - battery getting weak and letting you know.

x2 on the beep from the rear while in the car on the first start of the day. It is the alarm back up battery. There is a DIY that came up in another thread but is quite involved. Mine went away miraculously so I haven't been worried about it. But if the battery goes completely dead your alarm won't work.. Good luck.

just had mine replaced. I had the same loud beeps but they would go on for minutes at a time, then stop for 10minutes or so then start up. Soo annoying
it was faulty backup battery module as per the dealer

jereme. i doubt a battery would be considered a warranted item.

He said a module, so that wouldn't be the battery would it kyle?

The battery is in the module - it's sealed in there. There's a DIT where someone dremeled open the module and replaced the battery, but I think most people order the module and install it themselves. I think.
