Stopped by Wheeldude earlier today for a test fit, left with an order placed on some new wheels/tires.

Going with the Strasse in hyper black and will be running a staggered set-up.



I know, I know, stock suspension FTL. Was really looking to get the V-Maxx COs since my B-day is at the end of the month, but looks like they won't be ready till the end of the year :( Will be putting in some springs in the meanwhile.

I really like those wheels, nice and unique but not an extreme kinda unique, just not a common wheel but it looks good. Don't worry about the suspension, it was one of the last things I did unfortunately, and people will relentlessly tear you apart every time you post pics until you get a drop.

really nice wheels man, they'll look great on your car. try and find some used springs in the classifieds until you can get the CO's, people have them for sale here all the time.

Haha I knew it was only a matter of time before the pick-up truck jokes would come. Keep in mind these pictures are from a test fit and are not on my car right now.

I already have some springs that I picked up from the classifieds, going to put them in ASAP. Would have put them in earlier, but just moved cross country, so needless to say it's been pretty hectic the past couple of weeks.

Now that I am finally settling in (don't start the new job till Monday) I can play around with my car a bit :-)

No stretch is ftw. Thats not even alot of stretch. Tires look horrible when they are really wide on a not so wide wheel. 225's on 8.5's are perfect.

Just a quick update - wheels will be ready on Monday, will be looking to get springs put in the following Sunday at a local GTG. (Yes, I'll be riding a monster truck for a week )

Getting the TB done this Saturday, will also be putting in an order for the USP front lip/grills this weekend. Unfortunately, no coilovers until Stratmosphere is done testing the V-maxx, which looks to be by years end.

Regardless, I already knew I would get a ton of flack for the wheel gap - I've been lurking here for a while now, so I knew what to expect. Great to see that the majority of you guys are leaving positive feedback about the wheels, though.

I'll take some new pics in a couple weeks time. I'll definitely have the car lowered by then, hopefully the USP conversion will be finished, but who knows with this new job and all.

Hey guys, here's an update. Finally got the new suspension installed about 2 weeks ago.

Got tired of waiting for the V-maxx COs to come out so I got H&R/Bilstein. Shop that I brought it to experienced some issues with the install, so a simple spring/shock install ended up costing more than 3x more than what it should've. (bolt seized - had to replace control arm assembly - estimated 4 hour job ended up taking over 10)

This basically put my modding on hold - had plans to upgrade to a USP front and a chip, but that probably won't be happening for a little while.

Anyways here it is! (rear needs to settle a bit)
