Most of audi's marketing pitch for people to buy there cars is the fact that they are safe and the quattro works pretty well. i was just thinking though. after watching some videos of the STI and EVo etc. doing some research. why has no one tried to figure out a way to make one of the quattro cars RWD. the new STI has a roller knob to control the transfer case so that the power can be focused to make it RWD. for older subaru's you can buy a dead front diff that has no gears so that the car is....RWD.....i'm not saying anything against the quattro i love it. its gotten me through snow i never thought it would. but during summer time i'd love to be able to make it just RWD and have some fun with that. seeing how the b6's a majority are 1.8t's yes a nice motor but isnt very strong in its stock form. wouldn't have some type of RWD such as using a front diff delete or electronic t-case. couldn't that open more power because there would be less drive train loss?
just a weird thought i had.
