    launch=flashing brake light?

    So ever since i bought the car i have had this problem where the brake light in the dash will blink and ding at me me when i launch the car/or shift rather spirited WTF is that? Am i overboosting on stock tune? Or a bad/corroded sensor that comes loose then goes back in place? I have no other lights on besided that one once in a while... And yes i tried a search but nobody had the problem when launching only when normal driving so im sure if i am on the same page as them... Any ideas?

    Possibly the ABS unit using its Electronic locking..... I wouldn't know since my ABS has never worked

    Sounds like the ASR kicking in. It's tied to the ABS sytem. does your dash have a button that says "ASR" on it? If so, turning it off should fix the "problem".

    Did you check to make sure you have enough brake fluid? If so it is most likely a bad ABS sensor or the module itself.

    Even when my brake fluid level looked only slightly below the "full" mark, when I hit a big bump or a corner it would do it once in a while. I just topped it to the actual full mark and have never seen it since!

    uummmm mine does the same thing when i do a light spin of the tires on a launch or a hard 1-2 shift. as far as i know its a normal thing. vw has a weired traction control that uses the brakes even if you dont have an ESP or ASR button
