Uggghh.. Coolant

Alright so I was driving around tonight trying to break in my new clutch (and I will admit I got into boost twice up to like 16psi each time but it was in 3rd gear and no clutch slip either. Anyways, I pick up my girlfriend to take her for a ride. So we go out on the interstate and come back and I park in her driveway (car is still idling) and there's a little steam coming out of the right foglight grille. Then boom! Something pops and there's coolant EVERYWHERE!
Any ideas what this could be from? Coolant line to the turbo maybe? It was mostly on the turbo side. But seriously, fvck me. I hate my car

passenger side? could be the turbo lines. those are the only coolant lines on the passenger side. everything else is on either side (ontop and below) the intake manifold.


Have you opened the hood to do a visual and verify?

Yeah it's mostly on the passenger side, but the weird thing was, it popped. And there was coolant splattered. I looked but couldn't really see anything because it was too dark. I'm taking it in to a shop this morning so I'll let you know.

If you have barbed fittings on the lines going to and from the turbo that is a potential for something to 'pop' if not secured correctly and too much pressure in the coolant system. I think the coolant system is pressurized to 15psi but I am not positive of that.

I need to get some of those! I check this morning and fill the coolant resovior to see if it was leaking and it all ran out on the driver's side somewhere... I don't know. This just sucks though....

Now you have to go do a detailed visual and snoop around your engine bay. Too much confusion to provide suggestions at this point in time.

I recommend not driving the car with a huge coolant leak like that. You'll blow your headgasket like Clint did.

I towed it into my friend's import shop and the thermostat exploded! It has been acting weird lately, like taking forever to warm up and stuff and it finally gave out. Thanks for your help though Doug. I know I was providing the most detail descriptions lol!
