    O ring replacement

    I finally got around to replacing the o ring on my problematic headlight. It was an easy fix and went well. About an hour later, I got the car washed and some very slight condensation built up. It was light and went away in about 10 minutes. Most people wouldn't have noticed it but being a perfectionist, I did. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?

    maybe you didnt get all the condensation out the first time? i did the o-ring mod about a month ago took a good half hour on each light with a hair dryer and no fog since.

    o ring + grease/sealant = no more condensation.

    Yeah grease is key - you dont even need to replace the o-ring if you put a gob of grease around the top of the turnbuckle.

    Alright. I took out the light and re-greased the o-ring, spindle and knob on top. Hopefully this will take care of it. FYI, it took all of 10 minutes
