    Turbo 3.0

Yup, so you all clicked at the title...eagar to see a turbo'd 3.0... HA

but no, really...so I was in france last week, and saw an A6 with a 3.0TDI... and my first thought was...what are the chances it shares exhaust manifolds with the N/A 3.0 v6? From there, I'm sure you can pick up what I'm putting down... I'm going to post this over in the C6 forum as well since I think the B6s only get 2.5 TDI motors, and the B7s get a 2.7 TDI.

Anyone ever looked into this? or is there perhaps an EU audi mechanic on the board that can look at both manifolds and provide a definitive answer...

If this has been posted before, I'm sorry, but I searched back 2 years and didn't find anything related.

    Re: Turbo 3.0

It may use a 15 degree V like the R32 which allows only a single head and a much easier turbo setup

    Re: Turbo 3.0

    here's a pic of the 3.0 TDI...

and this would show two exh inlets:

I now would like to rephrase my request... could someone in the EU compare the exhaust manifold gaskets for the 3.0 N/A and the 3.0 TDI? The more I read, they appear to be two completely different designs... but... what if... and that's just the exhaust manifold... the rest of the plumbing may be used as well...

    Just a thought...

I'm pretty sure 2.7T manifolds bolt up, so twin turbo or even single turbo in theory is not a problem. What you'd need is a built short block and some good custom tuning.

I would be just happy to swap my petrol V6 for that diesel V6.

    Re: Turbo 3.0

Clint and a few others in the B5 S4 forum are working on a single turbo application.

Your best bet is to talk to 3.0 King about building a forged bottom end 3.0L and then wait for the single turbo hardware and go that route.

I don't think parts from the TDI can be swapped over to the N/A petrol 3.0L. Typically Audi/VW TDI designs are very different lay-outs from the petrol 'brothers'.

    Re: Turbo 3.0

you can run piggie back on the ecu just have to disconnect at emissions time. hardware is the easy part. then labour. finally can you afford a built motor with all the mods to follow? A good stand alone will run you $2000. all i need is two turbos and two manis to match everything else willl be what ever the customer wants as long as its doable and he/she can pay for it. Even if a DIY'r wants to do all the labour, parts alone will run 12+grand.

FWI. Eurospec does not sell to the public. Only authorized dealers can sell motors. I am a authorized dealer when i bought the first three built motors each person paid what i pay no mark up. that means if you want to buy from a dealer, they will be adding a mark up.if you use me no mark up.To be a dealer you have to fill out there aplication, credit check, Fed tax ID. for the acting party 3.0 Pros.
