Prep & paint on fiberglass kits.

I need some advice, all you experts out there.

For prep: Can you wet-sand the gelcoat on the bumper? i heard it's porous and can trap water and in the future release the water and cause the paint to blister?

so wet-sand or DA drysand? (da=fine grit)

also, if any of you guys with previous experiance can just give me a list of steps you took in your prep process that would be really nice! =]

    and paint process^^

i have most of the steps down just want to make sure i dont miss anything.

    Thanks!

You may also want to look into using an adhesive promoter to make sure that the paint sticks to it.

I personally would use a DA if you have a lot of sanding to do, then tackle the fine sanding by block. After sanding you want to wipe down the areas with Prepsolve and a tack rag.
