Which magnaflow mufflers sound best

What are you guys runnin for the magnaflow mufflers..i found a shop that will do a custom 2.5 all the way back to mufflers. I like the sound of magnaflow, just wondering what you guys run and where can i get just the mufflers?

14851's are by far the deepest and throatiest and best sounding and best in volume mufflers.

It depends on what you want, oval and cannister style mufflers sound different. If you go with magnaflow they have a race and street version of pretty much every style so, you have to take into account how much sound you want.

I've got the 14851's as well (race), I think they sound great, not too aggressive but definitely deep and throaty.

Aluminized not Mandrel bent though. Doesn't really matter, they don't have like huuge bends in them anyway very clean.

get street series...if you really want me to show you why, i will. lets just say the exhaust shop F-ed mine up at first on my old car. i honestly dont think it matters which mufflers you get. i think its mostly all in the looks. but race series FTL!

I think i'm going to do this as well. That is a REALLY good deal on that system. Any reasons why it's so cheap? I was considering going AWE, but this has really gotten my attention..

No worries! I am happy to help. I found that site about 4 years ago and they are sick! Every muffler I have ever purchased is from them. They ship everything really fast and everything is brand new in box. They must have really low overhead.

I have 14851 (Race Series) Mufflers, I love them, deep and loud enough when you are on the gas, but no drone on the highway, I also like the tips better than the street series, they are thicker. Here are a few videos of the sound...

hey guys just a question i want to get the magnaflow 14851s on my audi a4 2005 3.0L quattro also.....do i need to get new pipes bent n all that also or can they just replace the stock mufflers? i dont have much knowledge on this stuff so any insight would be great thanks guys!

If you just go with the mufflers, which is what i have. But you replace just the mufflers and all they have to do is create or some have like connectors because your stock down pipes arent the same diameter as the inlet on the muffler but its what everyone has done on here including me when we got just the mufflers replaced and side note the install should be somewhere between $100-$150. If its more then $150 your getting ripped off. PM me if you have more questions!!!

are 14851 on a 1.8 not good ? ive herd both stories but no sound clips. im stuck between either a vmr tp stock downpipe and 16601 or vmr tp custom 2.5 to Y and 2.25 to 2 14851's and

who has 14851's on 1.8 and hates them? and why?

It's hard to hate 14851s. Just replacing the mufflers doesn't make a 1.8T much louder. You really need a test pipe and full piping to make it loud. But they sound good either way, whether you want a sporty tone or an aggressive tone.
