Where to get an Apt/store my car in SF?

My job may require me to move to SF in jan. I am wondering if anyone has any good tips on where to look for Apts and where to store my pride and joy without getting it royally beaten up in the city. My budget range is probably between 2500 - 3200 for a 2 bedroom.

1087 Mission St, San Francisco, CA thats a address to some school but its a couple buildings over and they are super nice and brand new the have underground parkin so it wont get dinged. but check it out
