Looking for info on a K04 swap...

I searched the threads but came away empty before writing this post for info.

My buddy has a 2000 S4 w/Tip est. 85k miles. He bought a K04 system to replace the blown K03's. Instead of him wanting to spend $2K on a shop doin the job, I called my VW buddy who has done plenty of engine rebuilds and engine swaps in his time.

I know the engine needs to be dropped though.

What would be needed to complete this job????

Certain tools????

If you are having a VW buddy do it, he's got the tools if he has done them before. $1k should do it.

I found the DIY's I was looking for on this site. I looked in the wrong section so thanks for not flaming me.( Wiping the sweat of forhead).

$1000 is what my buddy was going to charge and the S4 owner will let my buddy take his time to complete the job.

This site really rocks and there is so many members here who are very knowledgable.
