2.7t engine pull

I finished pulling the engine tonight with the help of my friend Jordan, AKA The Jerbel. I can finally set to work on the TC and a whole bunch of other maintenance mods, only one thing busted during the pull, a fitting which goes to the heater core hose on the backside of the engine. I will post pics once things are complete. All I can tell you is that it is about 5 hours worth of work and 15 hours worth of wondering how to get the next bolt out.

Nice dude, hope you took a lot of pics. Better yet you should do a vidoe for the install.

when you put the new torque converter in, make sure it is seated all the way into the transmission. Otherwise you can destroy the pump in the tranny.

I got the engine out on Tuesday, split the tranny off on Wednesday, had some time today and degreased/cleaned the entire engine and engine bay, then sanded down any exposed aluminum and repainted everything a ceramic, grey, metallic. I am sending out the TC for upgrades at VAST in the morning. It's a big project, but still a lot of fun. No way to get to know your car better, than pulling the motor
