    I like my audi, but theres a few things about it that hold it back from being a true premium car.

    I'm confused... why would Porsche have to buy Audi? Don't they have control by default by having majority stakeholder in VW? Or do they only have a majority in VW and not VAG?

    Porsche does not want to buy Audi. They have to as a part of increasing their VW share. They plan to sell the Audi shares back to VW without making a profit on them. Porsche has no interest in Audi and has said so.

    porsche is the largest shareholder of VW, they did so to protect themselves because they rely heavily on VW for the success of their own company (I beleive it has to do with the two companies sharing parts)
