chip questions overheating??/

so i just got my giac custom file from wicked motorsports and installed it today. i just went for a quick 5-10min rip around my house in the backstreets cuz i have no insurance and no license.

when i got back my turbo and engine felt extra hot... should i think about a fmic.
and also waiting on borla cat back exhaust so im running stock exhaust with a lot of back pressure. maybe that has something to do with it??

also i want a larger diameter downpipe to go with my cat back. so where can i pick one up?? and yes i know the awe package comes with it but im getting mine from a local dealer.

You are working the turbo more than stock expectancy. So expect it to get more hot. An fmic is a very good investment for your turbo. It will prolong the longevity of it and avoid heatsoak. During hot days, it should grant you the missing hp taken away due to heatsoaking.

A larger downpipe should come with the Borla Exhaust Cat Back System. Another good and nice investment is a High Flow Cat or a Test Pipe. The stock ones can be rather constricting and realeasing that back pressure quicker should add more effeciency to get the extra hp you want.

k but ive allready ordered my borla cat back from mopac auto (canada) and the guy said it did not come with a dp.

That's not cool.

I took this pic from an ad off of ebay (disclaimer), and this is what the Borla Exhaust System entails. What I circled is the downpipe that is attached to one big pipe, as it seems. It is the downpipe, flex joint, and mid pipe all as one pipe. That would connect to the mid muffler or resonator, then to the secondary muffer and exhaust. So, it does come with a downpipe.
