Anyone in a stock A4 want to make a video 3rd gear pull from like 60

60-80 in 3.3 Seconds in 3rd Gear
60-100 in 8.8 Seconds 3rd Gear
50-80 in 4.9 Seconds in 3rd Gear
50-80 in 5.2 Seconds in 2nd Gear than into 3rd

and i raped a 530i BMW by like 8 cars from a 60 roll lol.

Stock a4 tiptronic

60-80 in 4.7 seconds
50-80 in 6.63 seconds
20-80 in 10.56 seconds

I did this test from a dead stop though, so there might have been some shift lag.

Although 60mph starts at the end of 2nd so i'm pretty sure I was in third.

Alright, I tried this on the way home today from work... I wrote down the different pulls you did. I only found enough open stretch (final stretch on the way home) of highway that would allow me to try the first 3 (all 3rd gear pulls).

BTW, I'm 6 speed Quattro S-line with ZERO mods.

60-80 in 3rd gear: 4.63 sec.
60-100 in 3rd then 4th: 10.71 sec. (was hitting almost 7k rpm and thought I'd throw it up one.)
50-80 in 3rd gear: 6.16 sec.

Granted my stopwatch technique was rudimentary at best... I'd probably over clocked one or two of my runs, but I'm pretty certain the first 60-80 is pretty accurate.

Thanks for all the help so It looks like between stock and my mods I gained about 2 seconds 60-100. That's pretty Impressive

Btw on all three runs there were 2 250lb guys in the car so I'm sure that effected the times a bit

250 lbs each? I'm sure that must have gone through your mind while doing your little stopwatch experiment.

Oh, btw I did the runs using my honda civic... I guess that would make a difference too.

Ahh, i thought you had 2 additional guys in your car. Okay then. I retract my earlier sarcasm. What do you think 2 seconds faster on a 3rd gear 60-100 pull looks like? Like 2 car lengths on a 60-100 drag?

Btw, only 200 total pounds of additional weight (including me) in the car at the time of my pulls.

thats more like 8-10 Car Lenghts.
