    h&r sports need cutting bump stops?

    do i need to cut some of the bump stop when installing H&R sports with Bilstein Sports??? I read a couple of threads before buying this setup and never read about having to cut the bump stops... But, i just read one thread that someone cut them... Just want to make sure about every detial before installing... thanks!

    You don't need to.. I'm still wondering why this is done, other than to achieve a front rake (that still isn't confirmed by anyone but Miktip)

    i think you only need to cut them if you have non-sport oem suspension.

    Rake? Negative, cutting you bumpstops does not make your car any lower, it just keeps the shock from compressing all the way and ruining your shocks. You might get more shock travel by shaving/cutting them, but sport shocks (which you should be using) don't compress that easily,so in most cases it's unneccassary.

    i cut mine in half, i noticed a difference. rode much better afterwards. before it was way harsher and bumpier. i love the ride now.

    I might have to try that, I just changed my front shocks, but didn't notice that big of a difference in ride comfort.

    The fronts should be OK. Cut the rears slightly if you have the stock non-sport setup.
