    Carbon Fiber front lip, not DTM, where to get?

    Ok, I've been searching for probably a good hour now, and I found this.



    I was about to ask if anyone had heard of or had a carbon fiber lip on a non DTM bumper. Or is this just a DTM lip that's been fitted onto a non DTM bumper? I have a non s-line btw. The original thread kind of died (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...dtm+lip&page=2), and I know I've seen this done before, I'm just wondering if it's custom, or at least custom fitted. Thanks!

    This is an ultra-noob question, but why the hell is it called a "splitter"? I've never quite understood the terminology there.....

    it took 2 hours for installation. you have to remove the bumper, drill holes....

    not feeling it... just so flat and rounded. at least the kersher has some shape to it. i'd go with that plastic one that's 60 or so plus the same for shipping

    Nice...yeah, I love the Deval one too.

    I don't really like the Kerscher's splitter coz the curve doesn't line up with our B7 bumpers that well...there are gaps...

    Thanks for the responses guys. Will the Deval splitter fit a non s-line? Because that's what I have. I'm basically thinking of doing this with a DTM style carbon fiber spoiler, and probably AWE quad tip exhaust with carbon fiber valance. I think it'll look sharp with my DG color, with Stassis CO and a nice set of rims of course. Just got the car about 6 months ago and haven't done anything yet, saving up over winter, so spring should be big fun. Oh, and the link that akasch left for the kerscher splitter doesn't seem to be working.

    A "splitter" in the aerodynamic sense does exactly what the name suggests - split airflow on the front of the car and direct it over rather than under to improve under-car airflow (click here for a better and more detailed explanation).

    Of course, most of these parts do not really act as "splitters" in an intentional, measured aerodynamic sense and the term has been corrupted on forums to explain any kind of aesthetic body piece added to the bottom of the bumper.
