i'm not at that point yet, hopefully i never will. my car has been giving me small problems lately, got them figured out if not fixed.. and now my a/c stopped working. still love my car and don't plan on selling it for a while. i'm constantly rethinking about my plans on a bigger turbo however.

b5 owners either hate their cars, love them or both simultaneously. i've never met someone indifferent.

I know exactly how you feel man.....I'm almost there.....going BT was a mistake, cuz I can't handle it when my car ain't workin...But I'm torn, because I absolutely love workin on cars......G'luck finding a new one.....But i recommend fixing it, then getting more for it (could just need new coilpacks)

Sounds like you're fed up. You probably just need a ICM or coil packs. Fix it

b6 are just as reliable or unreliable as b5's.. you probably hear of more issues involving b5's because they're older. how a b5 or b6 a4 treats you seems to be entirely dependent on two things, how the owner/s (current and previous) treat the car and just plain luck, you can treat the car like a queen and still have it shit the bed on you from time to time. I've had shit go wrong that absolutely should not have at the miles I'm at.

by the way, the original posters problem can be MAF related.

Same as well here, just had transmission rebuilt even though mileage only under 110k, but I just hate making payments and that's why I just fix whatever problems lies ahead and drive the most out of it.
