Need help & suggestions for troubled Symphony HU. Pix inside.

Long story short: Loading something into the car from the rear with the seats down. Managed to hit the head unit and crack the screen...

I need recommendations on how to go about this. What are some good overall Mp3/GPS Headunits on the market? What brands? I'm looking for one with colors to match the overall black interior and RED lights. Possibly within the ~800$ Range. Any help would be appreciated.

does the unit still work? if so just leave it....else you would have to find a double din (which you want) I personally love alpine unites, either a tv or regular radio.Alpine tv, will not match the interior, but it is a tv!

Another option is oem radio (rns-e), a bit more than 1k, but worth it for an oem look if that is what you are going for.

    Lastly, like your user name!

Yup, HU still works perfectly fine...It's just more of a nuisance to look at sometimes. But I also wouldn't mind finding a double din... Since the OEM Radio is ~1k, screw that idea.

and btw, my username is also my cars name haha... thanks.

BUMP for more suggestions on headunits!

you can also buy a used unit, you would probably just need the keys to take it out (15$) and a replacement which is about 70 shipped.

You're going to pushing your luck getting a quality DD unit with nav, bluetooth, etc. Which would really the only reasons to upgrade rather than finding a used unit and putting it in your car.

If you care about matching the interior the most I would recommend taking a look at the somewhat new Pioneer Avic F-series. The early units were plagued with bugs and problems. They came out with a firmware update but some issues still exist. Anyways, it fits your price range and is feature rich.

Personally I'm saving up for a Kenwood dnx-8120. It has a lot more SQ options like time alignment, eq, etc that the F-series doesn't have. Also, the nav is Garmin based which I think is better than the TeleAtlas that Pioneer is using.
