    High Pitched Whine

    Hi Guys,
I've been going nutty with an odd problem on my car. For the last few months, I've had a high pitched whine that only occurs when the car is on. It doesn't vary with speed/rpm, it does sometimes go away though. THe dealer replaced (or said they did) the fuel pump and I've replaced the filter. The noice is still there. Heck, the dealer even went so far to say it was the 'pump energizing'. lies, all lies!

When I do a walkaround on the car, it sounds like it's coming from the back rear. It's hard to pinpoint it though.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

thanks! The power still seems there, but the noise is almost so faint that maybe it's not really 'broken' yet.
