Decisions.. Meth, dumps, WOT shift? which one??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
In my quest to make my car faster, I'm wondering what I should do next that will benefit me the most..

I'm thinking the meth injection will be the most beneficial, but then again the dumps would probably be just as good!

The WOT shift box is allot less expensive so maybe I'll do the WOT box and dumps or meth..

    What do you guys think?

my goal is 450whp on race fuel - think it's possible??

what is the WOT shift box? I've never heard of it. I've heard of the new harness programming for flat shift and 2 step, but never a "box"

Well if your goal is power, a WOTbox isn't going to give you more power.

Your best bet would probably be meth, but to get the most out of it. You would need a custom tune.

Cheapest route would obviously be dumps.

depending on what dyno you go to, sure you can hit 450 lol.

for that you're going to need a custom tune from either VAST or EPL, etc. like Derek said with the w/m for sure.

Well I was thinking of getting marc's fueling kit - or a custom tune over at ASP.

Re: Decisions.. Meth, dumps, WOT shift? which one??

Thats funny ive been thinking of the same 3 mods to do to my car but im only stage 2+, So i canceled out the meth since i need a custom tune, which i figured would be more trouble then it might be worth. Anyone get any good results on the meth without a tune?. Now im thinking about installing a dmh exhaust cutout in place of my resonator. But i really think the 2-step would be the best for my car, then i could consistantly launch when i want to race someone. Im really curious to see the wot shift, not to familiar with how it works.

I installed it on my car a week ago, working on the WOT shifts a bit, the video I posted late last week against the EVO I did a WOT shift but you can't hear it and the box is still set on auto so it could be faster, but you can note that I didn't lose any ground during the shift.

Unfortunately I'm not ready for a tranny build yet and it's feeling mighty notchy so I haven't gotten a chance to test the launch control and get video of that. The product and the support from N2MB for the WOTbox is phenomenal though and the product is inexpensive and a lot of fun.

From what I know the WOT box is not 100% finished for Audi, they are still working out some issues.

Well I'll be glad when they get it worked out. I really want to install it. Perfect launches and flat shift, oh man can't wait.

As of when the WOTbox thread like 3 weeks ago? Just curious because if theyre shipping orders it would seem like they anticipated and fixed any issues? Id like to get one seems fun

Basically a device that allows you to stay Wide open while you shift. You never have to let off the gas while shifting gears. The box interrupts fuel/ignition momentarily while the clutch is depressed, allowing you to shift gears. There was another thread that went into greater detail.

Sounds like another gimmick for the generally uncoordinated, talentless people who are happening upon these cars on a daily basis so they can go faster and wrap them around trees.

wrong, i doubt you've ever "flat foot shifted your audi" or maybe thats why your on your second motor. Stay out of thread you know nothing about.

When the WOT box is resealed for the s4 it should help by allowing you to flat foot shift and not have to worry to much about blowing your ish up. Lil safety goes along way.

I say go for meth if you are looking for more power. Fast shifting is nice, but the meth will give you the most gain.

Shut it, noob. As such, you probably never heard of a timing belt, huh? If I ever see you in person, I'll smack the taste out of your mouth.

I used to have a device on one of my liter bikes. Its a nice little feature to have. I think I would be too scared to put it on a car, lol. I suck at drag racing period. hahaha.
