plastic 'puck' popping sound from shifter - did yours asplode soon after?

getting an increasingly louder plastic 'pop' (like a "puck") sound when shifting 2-3 and 3-4. i know it's the stupid plastic ball joint.

shift feel fine, but it's gotten louder over the week. anyone have this issue and it lead to failure of some sort?

probably time for JHM, but just curious if anyone else had this occur and it actually caused problems for them soon after.

Not really hard driving, well yeah I beat the shit out of my car... but it CAN'T be from that.

I'm saying that it correlates to what I'm "just saying", get what I'm "saying"?
