neuspeed ss installed... questions.

installed my shifter over the weekend and had some question for you guys. this part happened when i had it in my old b6 and i learned to live with it. my gears seem slanted. after spending over 30 mins just adjusting it.. i couldn't get it any better. when i position everything to where the stock was... then the shifter sat way upfront and to the right so that was no good. does anyone else have this problem or am i being too anal?



how do i adjust it to go straight up and down?

also after searching for solutions to this problem... i find that everyone is saying how smooth the neuspeed ss is. mine's always been stiff... definitely need more effort to get into gears than stock. what lube can i get to get it smooth like everyone else's?

are your angles exaggerated? I have some angle but its barely noticeable. did you put in backwards? can you access all gears, including reverse okay?

it may seem stiff at first but after a week or two, it should be broken in a feel pretty smooth. the sts is the best mod so far on the a4 6pd. the stock shifter throw is horrendous.

yeah, all gears engage fine. just that when going from let's say 3rd to 4th... it feels a bit slanted. it's just like in the diagram above. 2nd gear is still to the left of 3rd so it's not skewed that much, just slightly angled.
