I am looking to get new floor mats. I'm leaning towards the rubber ones. Are they good? Do they stink?

Re: Lame thread question: Rubber or carpet

I have a set with the A6 logo on them. They actually add a nice sporty look to the interior, which I didn't really expect. Hard to explain I guess, maybe one of those you have to see in person things. They are great for cleaning. I don't worry so much now about getting in the car when my shoes have dirt or mud on them. I definitely recommend them.

I got mine from Don Rosen Imports through eBay. I believe you can reach them at
[email protected] if you want to see how much they sell them outright.

Re: Lame thread question: Rubber or carpet

OEM Rubber mats definitely get my vote.
Deep grooves, great water and snow handling, easy to clean, look sweet with the black interior, and better durability than carpet.

    What's not to love?

Cool Re: Lame thread question: Rubber or carpet

I personally like the rubber ones - here they are fresh out of the box in my Audi. Smell is not bad at all - you could tell that they were there when I first installed 'em, but that was gone in about 3/4 days.

Re: Lame thread question: Rubber or carpet

Thanks for the pics are opinions. I think I am sold on the rubber ones. ^^^Those pics are perfect because my interior is exactly the same (except I have a manual).

    Avoid the Hexomat ones:

Terrible smell that has lasted over a year so far. Just ordered a set of WeatherTech mats. Use them in other cars, very nice product.
