REVO 550cc GTRS File Owners ... Please Read!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Has anyone with a 550cc GTRS file tried to run over 23-24psi of boost? Trying to figure out some stuff for myself as well as Chris @ REVO, think I found my boost problem.

John (Condo) if you read this, did you ever run over 23-24psi before your motor busted?

    Thanks!!

    Shawn

Im confused first off. Boost problem? Thought you had a running lean problem? Then 550cc GTRS file? I thought you were running a GT30 file?

Sometimes I was, sometimes I wasn't.... just depended on that magical pull in low temps. I was hitting 24-25psi up here today so that is prolly 27-28psi at sea level in the same 60deg conditions... When I ran lean in the 60deg temps on race gas I was only running 25psi.

Its no surprise to me that you're going lean over 24psi. Your stock fuel pump can't keep up. That is a ton of fuel you're requesting.

Even Jordan was going lean down near sea level.

I usually kept it around 23-24psi but I think I had it up to 26psi a few times.

If thats the case, then there is a significant price difference, right?

(Isnt the GT30 file ~$1000 and the GTRS/BT file ~$700)

The GT30 file was a $200 upgrade for me from the BT file.

No it is $699 for the Big turbo file or it is $100 upgrade if you already have Revo, unless you order it from Eurocode then you will pay $200 for the upgrade.

If your using an SPS to control boost, this topic is of no relevance. If your trying to make power, SPS/Select is on B9 and your running an EBC. N75 sures the hell isnt going to cut it

A waste if you already have the 550cc file I guess, but not if you are on the 440/430cc file

What do you think is the problem? You know, you can help put your mind at ease by adding primary fuel in lemminwinks. Bump it up 10% and see if it has any effects on your a/f ratio. If not, the pump is probably your limiting factor. IIRC, your current file requests sufficient fuel, but the actual can't keep up, right? On another note, has anyone ever tried fitting a b5 s4 fuel pump in the tank? Those seem to support up to 450whp on S4s, and are cheap. Figured it'd be worth a shot.
    Cheers! David

I have 2003 which is 518 AF ecu code and Eurocode flashed my ecu the 2nd time I got it flashed with the GTRS file (supposibly had some little updates) with a 518 BC file which is 2005.

The GT30 file is still in the infancy stages and it is not likley you will find the file on the REVO servers.

In order for REVO to write a file that will work with many setups, first somebody needs to actually get their car running.

There are quite a few prospects right now but they have not gotten over the hump.

Since you 'claim' those are two different files then the fueling in the file you have now is probably not the same as the previous file. REVO can answer whether or not the fueling in the two different file is different. I still think your fuel pump is your limiting factor right now, but that is my opinion and you can do whatever you want with it. The rest of your hardware is there to make the power. You just need to get your fueling and software in check.

REVO does NOT have a GT30 file period. REVO, Ecode, god himself ... nope

It is on Nick's agenda to visit Ecode once John's car is 100% and make a 30 series file FOR HIS CAR, and his car only, strictly because of hardware reasons. Until then, it doesnt exsist

Wrong, just as I suspected. Reflashed the GTRS 430 file for 518AK before I left the shop, idle A/F is actually BETTER, 10.7-10.8 (10.1-10.3 prior), lamda still at -25%, went up to 27psi, A/F perfect for that boost at 11.6-11.7

I talked with Chris many times today, he said that if Nick were to make a different fueling file, he would start from scratch, so everything for the file would be different

Ill add some short logs later tonight, gotta make dinner first

I talked with Chris many times today, he said that if Nick were to make a different fueling file, he would start from scratch, so everything for the file would be different

Ill add some short logs later tonight, gotta make dinner first

Hmm. Odd. Maybe the A4 uses the pump from the b5 s4 after all. Now I am actually curious if the pump number corresponds with a different model car.

Your idle is that rich? 10.8? Geez. WTF is with that?

Well, 630's on a 440 file with lamda correction at -25% would justify a 10.8 ..... 630's on a 550 file with lamda correction still at -25% and idle A/F at 10.3, who knows

Obviously the fuel map for the 550 file stops between 23-24psi, hence the reason theres no fuel there. Who knows what else is F'd up in the map

I did a few on the highway coming home but none go past 6k, traffic was busy, and I was still nervous as hell seeing the EBC pass 24psi knowing what the A/F was previously doing. I will do some more logs in the morning to 7k

Yes there is and it uses 630cc injectors. I sold that setup to JoJo for his GT3071r. Condo has the same file.

But on what turbo? Because 28psi on a Elim isn't the same as a GT3071r and neither of those are the same as 28psi on a GT3076r.

(Isnt the GT30 file ~$1000 and the GTRS/BT file ~$700)
GT30 Revo file from Eurocode is $899 if bought alone, $699 when bought along with 630cc injectors. $200 upgrade for Revo BT file owners that can prove they bought it brand new.
