no, you won't lose trq. if you do, it will be a few lb/ft, and you'll gain more up top. you will need a software file that deletes the code though or you will have a constant CEL

if you get a testpipe you'll gain more hp and torque, not lose.

You'll lose torque in the lower RPMs because of the lack of back pressure.

3inch testpipe equals perfect tone for the 20T if everything else flows :P

You will GAIN torque, not lose it. Look at eurocodetuning.com website for their before and after dyno of their testpipe on the stock car. The biggest gains were down low. Keep in mind, on a fully chipped car (one running a 93 octane agressive program) any gains are going to be much more minimal because of the fuel limitations.

    cheers! Mike

As previously stated above, you will gain a significant amount of torque, and spool up of the turbo is going to be significantly faster.

    -EI AL CAI.
    -Driver Mod.

the only drawback i see is that you won't be able to pass emissions tests. Im not sure how it works in europe but in the US it is illegal to run a TP on the street

that may be true but 2.5" is better than 3". if you go 3" you will most likely be loosing more low end torque and possibly end up with turbo problems later on. go for VMR's my buddy just put his on (only 69$) and it sounds / works great

I'm seriously considering getting the VMR TP. It's only $69 shipped and you can't beat that. It's a great deal for a great product. I've only heard great things about it.

At these power levels either one is fine. Again, i really wouldnt worry about losing torque on a turbo car that spools by 2500rpm and I dont think youll "need" a 3" setup until well into BT territory but I dont see it would hurt either. Go with whatever you want. If one or the other mates up to the rest of your exhaust with a smoother transition i'd go with that one. Some folks have 2.5" downpipes, some 3" so maybe look at that and pick the one for you.

    cheers! Mike
