aftermarket muffler, how is it attached to the car

My exhaust fell off the very rear of the car. The hook and hanger are still attached, it actually ripped the bracked off the rear of the car. I need some ideas on how to attach the hook on my muffler to the back of the car.

So any pics would help :)

As stated above, you would need to weld it. Only proper procedure to be able to hold the weight of the muffler.

njm23, I think he is trying to say that the bracket basically detached from the chasis of the vehicle and it is still attached to the muffler. Nothing wrong with his exhaust (unless he disregarded that).
