    Curbed Rim equals Speed wobble?

Damn, I haven't been on audizine for a good 5 months and you know what... I haven't been tempted to buy anything new for my car lol. but anyways its good to be back. and I have a little problem. I curbed one of my rims on a weird ass drive through food spot. I wasn't event going fast. I was actually going extra slow trying not to curb my rim and I basically cut it too much to the left and kissed the curb. I got a good 6 inches of the rim curbed. but anyways I reversed off the curb and assest the damages. now the weird thing is, I didn't feel any speed wobble for a few weeks. and then it felt as if it was getting worse and worse! I really feel the wobble at around 30 - 35 MPH. and its bad. like you can hear that shit. but when I bring it up to around 75 or 80 its not so bad. but its just hella annoying and my car doent run smooth like it use to. so I took it in and had both front tires re balanced and even got an alignment done. and it feels like nothing has changed.. could it be soumething else? I already check the axle and it looks strait. I mean like the boot isn't ripped or anything. what do you thinks goin on?

Is it possible you bent the rim when you curbed it? That may cause the vibration even after rebalance and alignment.

Since you did the rebalance and alignment I vote for bent rim. It could be the rpms are softer than some other rims and a simple curbing could have bent it. Balancing usually helps with a slight bend because they can make up the difference. That's what sucks about staggered. I've had two bent rims on different cars I've had in the past. Would just rebalance them and put them on the back of the car so atleast there seemed to be less vibration. Didn't feel it in the steering wheel when driving. Although 8.5 front 9.5 rear could be a new trend.. Good luck with it bro. Hope you figure it out and it's a simple fix. I'm slowly catching you on the mods so you gotta get back on the zine and get back on your pace. Add another usp conversion to the b6 squad.
