B6 A4 Brake upgrade - will this work?

Depending on the source, there is or is not a 1mm difference in diameter between the B5 S4 and B7 A4 front rotors - 321mm B5 S4, 320mm B7 A4, both 30mm wide.

Is this difference enough to make the caliper / carrier choice critical?

Reason I'm asking is that my potential brake upgrade would be B5 S4 rotors (321mm x 30) and B7 A4 calipers / carriers - primarily because the B5 S4 rotors seem to be available for less $$$.

But will this work?

why don't you just go with the b5 s4 calipers??.. aren't they dual piston?

Not sure on the sizes, but you should be ok.

Now, I would also highly suggest you do the rears as well. Audi's are really heavy front braked. One you make the fronts even more so, you are putting way to much front bias on it. This can have negative affects, like taking much longer to stop! Do the rears as well, with either the B5 S4 kit, or something like the Stasis rear kit.

Current plan is:

Frts - B7 A4 calipers / carriers, B7 A4 frt rotors from Adam's group buy, Hawk HPS pads

Rear - Stock calipers / carriers, B6 A4 rr rotors (Adam's) Hawk HPS.

I figure the BI flash at the same time should ensure the car remains balamced

Too much front bias you say. I disagree my stock A4 brakes didnt stop for shit then I upgraded to S4 front calipers and it stops on a dime. I had to ease into the brake the first few days of driving else I would snap my neck lol.

why not try to get a Stoptech Caliper?
