    Powdercoating wheels

Has anyone ever color-match powder coat their wheels?

I'm thinking about doing this to the centers of my Iforged Flux wheels. Keeping the lips polished.
Now I gotta decide on a color. I was thinking matching the centers Pearl White
Got a guy that powdercoats wheels for $60 each

    Re: Powdercoating wheels

since you have polished aluminum, you should run a translucent color powdercoat over it. you should look into colors like solar rain, and black chrome translucent - those are awesome colors

also leave powdercoating to the ricers? huh?

    Re: Powdercoating wheels

Light cars don't show polished wheels as well. Dark cars do. Forget silly stuff like bronze or pearl white to match the car. You'll hurt the resale value of the wheels. So if you ever want to sell, you'll have to do something with them before you sell them to make them more marketable or you'll have to drop the price accordingly. Not to mention, pearl is very hard to match. I vote for silver, gunmetal, or black. If you want to be a bit understated, go silver. If you want to really set them off, then gunmetal or black would do it. Just my opinion...
