HELP!!! 1994 90CS fuel pump replacement

Ok so i just ordered the fuel pump and i know it is at the bottom of the tank or i think. i can get to it through the trunk. but how do i unclip it? or get it out. Any information will help. thanks dudes. it is a 1994 90CS FWD V6.

My CQ's fuel pump was accessed through the trunk. I am not sure if the 90CS's fuel tank is accessed from the trunk (prob not if the spare lies horizontally vs. the CQ where it sits vertically). If that is the case, then you'll probably need to remove the rear seat to access yours. Check Audiworld and do a search for 'fuel pump'. Remove the carpet in the trunk. There will be a round cover plate with 3 screws, next you need to undo the fuel lines from the outside of the flange(have a rag handy to catch any spray.) and the electrical connector. Next you need to unscrew the retaining ring a flat head screw driver should work if not go to your FLAPS and look for a universal fuel pump collar tool. Remove the flange noting it's orientation. Un clip the level sending unit and the fuel lines from the under side of the flange. The fuel pump housing needs to be rotated> Rotate inner part of surge housing approx. 15 (to left stop) and remove fuel pump. If you can't get housing out without the audi tool, you may be able pry the locking tabs back on the housing to get just the pump out. Might want to get bentely manual on cd-rom.
