just getting ready for my GT2871r install, my clutch is on it;s last legs....it has been for a while...

My car is an 01 A4 1.8t, how do i know what kind of flywheel my car has....because i was told if its a dual mass it will not be machined....i am getting a southbend clutch but i didn't really want to spend an extra $500 on a flywheel if i didn't have to.

all 1.8t A4 come with dual mass flywheels. They can be resurfaced though in most cases.

Southbend can resurface your stock dual mass flywheel, so that is an option. The 15 lbs billet steel flywheel is around $400.

Re: need avice in regards to my clutch

F1 makes cheap stuff. I haven't heard anything about clutch kits yet, but everything else they make is cheap.

Ante up and spend the money. It's worth it in the end.
