I want to do this to my car too. I hate how the grey looks with the rest of the black interior.

umm... because the ti is not suede.

I'll proably order most of the plastic ti parts over the next couple of months. so it should be better then the Ti because it suede!!!

could have sworn it was... I know some TTs come with alcantara headliners, just seems as if it were to be easier to purchase it OEM, I remember mine was a headache to do... maybe cause at the time it was snowing outside and -20 degrees when I was running outside in the snow trying to pull everything out lol

fuck suede...the leather will either fade, bleed/rub off, have an off hue (blue/green), or do a mix of all three...
alcantara would be a smarter way to go

regardless the OEM set-up would be cleaner solution...tho much more costly im sure
id bet ur DIY was chump change comparatively

i too wanted to do this, as after having my 20thAE dub OEM black, i loved it.
but what exactly do u plan to do about all your tan parts? (dome light housings/oh shit handle/visors/opensky screens(if applicable)/etc.)

well it is not real suede it is not alcatera but is an automotive grade that won't fade. as for the other parts like i said be for i will be switching them over the ti version of them slowly starting with the sun visors and the opensky shades.

    Re: Headliner Project

Can you swap the sunshades without again removing the headliner?

How long did it take to pull that out anyway?
