Does anyone know what the biggest size muffler, dimension wise we can fit on our cars? I need something quiet and the bigger the better.

I would think whatever the stock muffler size is...the stock ones almost take up the whole space

    Re: Muffler sizing

I got 14851s off ebay i know i've seen other people's on here that had smaller tips idk why maybe they changed them or got them somewhere else but the one I got from the best offer guy on ebay have 5" tips they are big but still fit in the stock rear bumper. Tip size doesnt really bother me I think I would like 3.5" tips just the same.

    Re: Muffler sizing

He's not talking about tips, he means larger muffler size as in length, mean he probably wants the loud exhaust he's been bitching about to be quieter.

    Re: Muffler sizing

Sorry to thread jack a little, I want to put an exhaust on my car (2003 1.8) but can't afford 1000 for the awe/thermal exhaust. So i have heard ppl have been happy with some piping and magnaflow...what size should i run??? what mufflers??? what do you guys think of straight pipe??? Thoughts....

    Re: Muffler sizing

2.5" piping can support 300+hp cars, mufflers are really your choice on sound and fitment.

on my 90Q the magnaflows with straight flow is really really really loud even with resonator.

turbo cars should have biggest piping as possible since turbo itself provides backpressure. but on a small engine, huge pipe can sound like ass
