Who has had they int. wood trim painted?

It seem's no autobody shop in my area wants to do it. They say the paint won't hold, with the heat from outside and a/c inside it will bubble up?

What are you guys doing differently?
I want to get rid of the wood and color match it to my car.

Just swap it out for the "enhanced interior package" option aluminum trim. IMO it would cheapen the look of the interior if you painted the trim.

You can get your trim wrapped in CF from some people on here :)

I actually just had mine painted bleck at a local custom body shop, it looks great! I have only had it in for about two weeks but haven't had any issues yet.

    Re: Interior Trim

Paint it yourself. Lightly sand the clear coat but not too much just in case you change your mind so you can polish it and go back to stock. But sanding is the key.
I've tried painting without sanding, without primer and with sanding/primer just to see the results. Although you can get away not using primer I suggest you do because you can get a lot smoother surface. If you are going to paint it flat then that would not be an issue.
It's really a simple process and if you don't like the results just strip the paint and start fresh.

Instead of auto-body shops, try some of your local custom auto shops. I had mine painted black to match my exterior paint. It looks awesome and has held up for 2 years with no problems.
