Trans Question

I may be a total idiot for asking this, however alot of b5 guys swap to a 2.8 trans, I was wondering if there was any difference between a 1.8T 6 speed or a 3.0 6 speed and if it was stronger. Think I would have heard/read about it already but I was just curious. Another question, does the 6 speed 1.8T trans have a synchronizer for reverse? Thanks ahead of time,

if you have the 6spd manual you have the strongest trans available to you from audi, its the same trans as in the s4 and whatnot. if you want some info on the swapping talk to clint, he does tranny swaps in his dorm parking lot!
