Broken hood latch...

Does anybody know how to open the hood if my cable isn't popping it. I'm bringing my car in for service tomorrow and just wanted to have some info for my mechanic. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Get underneath the car, and look up between the rad support and the AC condensor. You'll see the latch. Get a 2 foot pry-bar, and literally point and push until the latch clicks. First time I did it, it took nearly an hour. Now that I know exactly where to hit, it takes 15 seconds. Hard to describe, but not to hard to figure out once you are under there.
