I'm an idiot. *HID Ballast Question*

Update: Left out in sun, and it works now!~



Ok so I had my right side xenon going off and on, then not on at all.


Took it a part and figured out it was 2 pin black connector going from inside housing to the ballast.


Jiggled it, put it back together to mess around with ina couple days.


Well I left the cap off the back that weather proofs it.



So basically, ballast got filled with water.


Can I leave it in sun and just hope?


Where is a good place to buy just the ballast for D1S lights?

Need a new ballast bud, holla at akinaboy or check eBay assuming you already checke the classifieds

You can try rinsing the ballast out with denatured alcohol, (Isopropal alcohol with NO water content) then using a hair dryer to dry it thoroughly. It won't hurt to try that first. (Unless the ballast is already fried from being energized with water inside, if thats the case it's propabably* toast.) Get the ballast hot but not to hot to hold in your hand.

*But still worth a try drying it out and trying it to see if it works or not.

So I left it out in the Arizona sun all morning, installed it today, and it worked!!!


I was actually dumping water out of it last nigh too...
