got my vmr testpipe and my old milltek installed today. i had a section in the exhaust that was damaged by my accident so i had to take it to a muffler shop to cut out and fix. i did that along with positioning it exactly where i wanted it.. last time one side hung lower than the other. problem is.. once i get the car going and exhaust warmed up... the positioning gets out of wack. one tip shifts to the left, and the other tip moves up. thing is.. when it cools down.. it goes right back to perfect. i'm going into the shop tommorrow so hopefully they can fix it. while i'm there.. should i tell them to position my resonators higher? they seem a bit low. right now i have stock sport suspension, but once my coils are in.. they're gonna be alot lower.

what d'u guys think? is that too low for my resonators to hang? is it possible to raise them?

that's not even low at alll... you ahve no idea. My resonators have about 1.5-2" of clearance from the ground and i basically scratch over every big bump if i dont angle it. if i have a full car, its an indefinite scratch over EVERYTHIng.

The top of the exhaust tips shouldn't flare out past the final edge of the rear diffuser. I would try to tuck in back in a little and the other issue might not be as noticeable.

    Re: exhaust woes

i'm not worried about the resonators now... but i just bought coilovers... and last time i lowered to 25" ground to fender.. i think that's over a 2 inch drop.

also top of my tips don't flare out. it doesn't pass the inner part of the diffuser. i'll take a side view pic later.

    Re: exhaust woes

got tips realigned today and everything's good. muffler place said there wasn't much he can do(i'm guessing 'wanted' to do) about the resonators so i hope it'll be ok when i install my coils

for those who thought my tips were flaring out too much... i think this is perfect

that would make it louder right? the milltek alone was a little too subtle. with the testpipe, it's almost perfect... wish it was a bit quieter at lower rpms, but love the sound it makes on full throttle.
