I would like to announce the 8th annual Bear Mountain drive, featuring some of the most scenic, exciting, and challenging roads anywhere around. Hopefully this year will be even better than those drives in the past.
FOR DETAILS:
Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to attend and I will respond with the date of the drive along with any new information I might have. Please give me about a week to reply to your emails. If you have any questions about the drive, or any input, feel free to email me or post on the NY/NJ/CT Forum Forum on AudiWorld. I will emailing updates when I have them. If you don't receive a response from me via email, please post on the NY/NJ/CT Forum to let me know.
To participate in the drive portion you will need a singed waiver for each driver and passenger. If I don't receive your waiver you cannot participate in the drive.
I will make the waivers available for download a few weeks before the event.

I'm working on a new starting location and the time the drive starts will depend on that. So, for now I will only be sending the date out in my reply emails and will send out more information as I have it. Still, be ready for the drive to start around 8-9 AM like at past years COI. I'm working on a new route with a few new roads and will be doing trial runs to test them out. The drive will be approximately 100 miles and should take approximately 4 hours to complete, but past years have proven that there is no way to know exactly how long the drive will actually take. So, I would leave this day open for only this event. The drive will end back wherever it begins, where all those who want to can attend lunch at one of the local establishments.
Those that choose to attend please remember that though many of us drive capable modified cars, we cannot deny the laws of physics. Simply put, we look to have a ton of fun on the road, but not at the expense of the safety of anyone in the drive, or any bystanders.
Raffle prizes/Sponsors have not been determined yet, but as always the raffle will be at the end of the drive. As you arrive at the starting location each car will receive ONE raffle ticket (only one per car).
I urge everyone to have a good and fully charged walkie talkie for the drive b/c I can't stress enough how important it is for groups to stay in contact with each other on regular intervals. Remember the person leading doesn't know what's going on with the last car in that group. If for some reason you can't reach your group leader then just radio anybody in your group you can reach and have them pass on the message.
Walkie talkie channels will be determined by the group leaders and you will be notified of them the day of the drive by your group leader. Everyone should then test the walkie talkies to make sure you can all hear each other.
For those with the MMI Nav's, I will again be providing step-by-step instructions on how to enter the route using stopovers a few days before the drive. However, this year I will only provide these instructions to those that request it. It will take 30-60 minutes to enter it in for first timers.
