Anyone is going with bilstein shocks and oem sport springs? I'm wondering what kind of improvement i would get? I don't want the car to be lowered.

    Thanks

bilstein shox are for lowered cars.. you're better off running an eibach pro kit or just a set of koni's

    ???

no, Bilsteins are for any car, lowered or otherwise. Far superior road feel to the stock sport shocks and nearly identical in terms of comfort. (I actually prefer my Bilsteins to OEM sport)
Much more support in the corners, dramatically reduced body roll, and will NOT lower your car.

note: Some places sell bilstein shocks with adjustable perch mounts, but most do not. Generally, you will pay more for this option.

I actually wish mine were adjustable, and I thought they would be when I ordered them. I'll switch to lower springs eventually, but for now stick with my 02 sport setup.

got mine at shockwarehouse.com $411 shipped

Great way to upgrade the handling (cornering, steering response) if you like the current ride height of your car. I will be doing this at some point as I am fine with the height. I'm already scrapping snow during Winter in Boston...any lower, I'll be a snow plow...and this is on '05 sport suspension.

Excuse, bilstein HD's are for dropped cars.. been a long day. I was just recommending the eibach kit or koni shocks because they're by far the least aggressive and still give that comfortable ride. With the Bilstein's you're looking at a rougher ride. I was simply assuming that because he didn't want to drop his car at all, he was implying he wanted a comfy ride like OEM sport. I've upgraded from 04 sport to bilstein's and while it's improvement, it's not as soft as the sport shocks.. and for the $$ you're looking at marginal improvement. That's all.

    Re: bilstein with sport springs

    Thanks for the replies.

I already have a pair of front shocks, so I just have to get a set for the rear.
It is for my wife's A4 and she doesn't realy like the lowered look (like mine with neuspeed springs). She just wants a bit more stiffness... (ok don't start now)
