    - Boser Story / PART 2!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Well, whoever was interested, here it is... oetty replica front is on, and boser is wheeled and finished... fitment A... too light for the stock hood-shock, just gotta remember to hold it when opening :)

As for the caractere replica grill.... i expected this - so no biggie.. The problem with this cheap (100$) piece of crap, is that there are no clips like the OEM grill has to clip on (over) the bumper.. But there are holes on the other side of it... So i either drill screws through the boser, or trim it down for the perfect fitment and silicone it to the hood... Propably gonna go with the second option... Because even if i do use screws, fitment is not that great... fits the hole well and even... but the middle is a bit too thick so it wobbles and sticks out a bit..

But here is the pic without grill... sunday or monday i should have the grill on though... Let me know what u think so far :) thanks

I know on my stock grill, I had to trim the middle/bottom tab to let the grille fit flush and clip in place.

I really like your car Alexey, realnaya :)))
Is this grill you are talking about off of Ebay? I almost bought one, but then changed my mind. What about using just 3m tape?

Yah I have the authentic one. IIRC the grill pops in and there are a couple screws that hold it in. I think it also comes with some adhesive tape. It fits well with out any effort. Good luck

Front end looks sick, the only thing I dislike is the rims. Something with a 3" lip on the wheels would look sick.

its funny that you should say that -- because I really did forget LOL. came up earlier at the waffle house... looking at pictures of my car on my phone someone asked if i had a picture when it was stock to compare - i said no, and tried to explain what it used to be like... but i had forgotten so much that i just gave up hahahaha

    Re: - Boser Story / PART 2!

aaaudiprotein, da, ebayskaya kakashka.. 3m tape is definately an option, but the surface isnt wide enough and not straight enough... it might not hold... ill just do both, tape and silicone i think..

geoshu, yeah i know.. those were supposed to be my cheap winter rims, but i ended up driving on them all summer since i didnt have extra 2k layin around... i am going to get RS4 reps in onyx black i think... im pretty sure that will be my choice..

doublezero30, thank you :), and yes, had to work on it quite a bit... couple self-cuttin screws even had to be used on the very bottom of the wheel-well..

B6Lovin, I too want to forget what the stock engine bay looks like............... :)

    Re: - Boser Story / PART 2!

Before you do the silicone jobby you should look into the thinest 3M tape you can find with some adhesion promoter. If you go the silicone route you may have a paint peeling problem later on should you decide to change out the grille. Oh and the onyx black RS4 reps is a great choice for the color scheme you got goin on
