    HELP! Grinding noise from pads/rotors.

basically what it states...i originally had this problem a week or two ago, so i thought, "Hey! time to buy new pads + rotors!" i bought adams rotors for 3bills, got ceramic hawk pads and did the install. install went great on all four wheels. ( install on Wed. Night) so i drove it around and it seemed like it was fine. untill it started to make that grinding noise from the passanger rear whee when ever i hit the brakes. it's the worst grinding noise ever that i can hear even when my windows are up and music is playing. i can even feel it on the brake pedal istelf...

even when i'm not on the brakes, driving with window down trying to listen to see whats up, i hear a noise that sounds like my pad is resting on the rotor? i hit the gas to speed up, the noise also speeds up...

i was thinking that the brake fluid needs changing? maybe my pads don't retract when i let off the brake pedal??

    Any idea guys?

I did the exact same setup on my rears and have no grinding. Did you use the brake retractor tool to rectract and turn the rear caliper pistons? If so you may not have depressed them completely. Did you bed the pads according to Hawks recommendations? If not you may have left pad on the rotor and subsequently causing rubbing.

Also check that the emergency/parking brake isn't dragging.

i have hawk ceramics (on b6 s4 brakes, and used to have them in stock brakes) and had the same noices... Im not going to buy them again next time; I prefer having brake dust than strange noices.
