    Door Lock Cylinder Failing

    Hello All,

Unfortunately my first post on this forum has to because of a problem but hopefully you can help me out. I have searched and continue to come up empty handed. I appreciate any help/advice.

Lately when locking/unlocking my passenger door is has been making a lot of noise (mechanically) and not always locking or unlocking the door. I assume the the locking cylinder is failing. Does anyone have experience with this, or can someone point me to a DIY on safely removing the door panel?

    Thanks-

    Re: Door Lock Cylinder Failing

Pretty sure this is a common happening, along with window regulators, you just don't hear of it often on here.
Another thing that I just recently experienced that i've read was a problem was that my drivers window has a gigantic, perfectly straight scratch down the bottom of it. This is due to debri gathering somewhere on the windows track. It's cut straight through my tint and according to other people's responses Audi will do nothing about it.

Thanks, I just wanted to check before I sounded like a moron customer trying to describe the noise at my next Audi service. I'm not a picky person, I can live with a rattle here and there, but a noisy lock mechanism to me means something is wrong with it and it'll probably fail soon.

    Thanks again.
