APR pump gas is fairly conservative. The race prog is very aggressive. It would be nice to see both of you one race gas.

thanks, its not too shabby at all, I thought he would get me alot worse than that, I was breaking up a little bit on the 2nd run, he would murder me on race gas, he would have way more tq.

I traded my car for a stage 3- S4 Avant for the weekend. It is about 100 hp down from a full stage 3 but acceleration is so effortless. This is especially true when cruising around town at 2500 rpm.

APR stage 3 S4 are good for what like 113mph trap on 93 octane so im thinking his A4 would trap around 110-111.

Then we are going to dyno together and hit the 1/4 together, should be for some nice comparisons. So dont sell the car!

Only problem is that area under the curve doesn't win races.

I know it's all personal preference. I love the instant low end torque from the S4, instead of pulling in the top end. Mike your car is proof that a properly built A4 can stomp S4's. But for me I'm building the car for daily driving and some road course, not drag/

Well even on a road course you still use the power band that the car has, so even my car is going to run pretty strong on a road course if the driver stays in the power band.

Wider powerband is better on a road course. Long increasing radius sweepers are the best example.

i wonder how my gt3071 will do with the s4 tranny in it. gearing would be identical, it would just come down to the engine power and of course driver. there is a ko4'ed guy in town and another awe tuning a6 in town, both stage 3. have to give them a run once i get this shiznitzz down.

Scat rods, calico main and rod bearings, arp mains, diamond pistons, proseal solid rings? 2mm overbore, new exhauts valves and then every new gasket and oil seal. Lwfw, ofe stg 4 southbend clutch. It should rip when its done

Engine is coming out next weekend. Valve guide seals are all fvcked up.

sounds like a 3071 might not be enough for you....you should consider 3076 or gt35

If you are gonna bore to 83mm why not get a stroker crank as well and make it 2.0 liter instead of 1.9?
