    newbie question...brakes

    im sure someone has the info i need... basically im gettin s4 front brakes(caliper and rotors w pads) and rear rotors for next to free... what rear caliper can i use on the rear s4 rotors? is the a6(c4-c5) rear calipers the same as the b5 s4? or what can i do? thanks in advance for any info...

    the front calipers and rotors WILL NOT work for you unless you purchase s4 uprights, they WILL NOT fit your a4 uprights. As far as the rear i believe you can use the s4 calipers with an aftermarket carrier and a6 rotors. and i just seen you said you arent getting the rear calipers so basically everything your getting is useless 4 you........

    That stuff won't really help you. The usual brake upgrade is TT carriers, A8 Rotors and stock A4 calipers for the front, and S4 rotors calipers and carriers for the back.

    You can sell decent S4 calipers for about 200 bucks. That is all the good they will do for you.

    I did the A8 rotor swap recently and it feels soo much better already! Definitely worth it.

    and the TT parts also.
    and how did the old caliper was mounted on a 30mm thick rotor???
    when I installed new rotors and pads on the front they barely fit original 25mm rotor.
    so any detailed infos would be nice.

    thanks for the tipps anyhow,
    got down the scrapyards to loog for some parts thou.
    I'm situated in europe.
    would try this setting whith some good used parts at first and then try some new if its neccesary.
