    Coilover on car adjustments

    Hiya guys,

    First post on here

I don't even have the car yet, just doing some advance suspension research. Car will likely be a 2003 1.9TDi Sport Quattro Avant. Will be used for work. Got fed up of getting 18mpg in my Vauxhall/Opel Omega 3l V6! This way I can save money to spend on getting my Nissan Pulsar GTi-R finished.

Read round a lot of coilover threads and the mod guides but have a few more questions. Looking at using it with a set of 19's. Don't want a rock hard ride, the only track its ever going to go near is the Nurburgring and its hardly smooth there.

I assume that all the CO kits have seperate spring and damper at the rear?

Out of all the kits available, which ones have on car adjustability for the dampening? Some kits state just rebound, which kits have both? Which are the easiest for height adjustment.

Atm I'm steering towards the Tein SS kit primarily as Tein now have a UK repair centre.

    Thanks

    Nad

PSS9s are your best bet, its a knob that you can even get to with wheels on the car, you dont even need to jack it

Thanks for that info. Only issue with in the UK the PSS9's are around $2300 whereas the Tein's are only $1000. Will have to look into it and see if they are worth the extra.

Does anyone know where the Teins adjust?

    Thanks

Edit to add: Just read on the Tein website that it states that you can't use them for the Wagon, which I assume is the Avant. Any ideas why? I assumed all kits would fit them all?

The dampening settings on the Teins would require jacking the car to get access to them. For the front it requires full disassembly since the setting is at the top of the perch.
