    Wheel sensor from EBAY

I just wanted to know if anybody had experience with the abs sensors that they sell on ebay. I will probably have to replace two of them (one in front and one in back) and it's quite expensive except on ebay.

    Here is a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-...spagenameZWD1V

    Thx for your comments.

    Re: Wheel sensor from EBAY

I personally would not place an ebay knock off on my vehicle unless it were something like an fmic, short shifter, etc. All engine components on my car must be replaced by OEM parts. ABS sensors are not cheap, but you could maybe contact A&P to see how much they would charge you for thier used (and tested) sensors. I would trust a used OEM one that is in working tested condition than throw in an ebay knock off.

I actually just looked them up on the classifeds (they are AZ advertisers) and they have them listed at $40 each off a 99 A4 they are currently parting out. It is off a 99 w/138k, but I would still trust those ones over the ebay knock offs. Here is a link to the thread or you can call them up to see if they have one from a car with lesser miles and see at what price they would be willing to let them go for. Plus there are other part out threads to search (send PM to the sellers to inquire on prices). Either way, I would suggest not to go with an ebay knock off on engine components (unless the ebay listing was OEM).
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch

Nice to get your opinion Seerlah. But since those sensors are quite hard to take off, I would be kind of afraid to buy a used one...because I don't know if the guy who pulled it out didn't break it.

    Anyways, anybody else ?

I wouldn't hesitate to buy the eBay sensor....as long as you are saving $

I mean, if it doesnt work....oh well, send it back.....but if it does...than your golden....if I needed one and eBay could feasibly save me $50 than i would definitely go for one over a used one from a junkyard....
