No CEL...WTH

So someone told me that i should have a cel apon starting up my car... and i looked and nothings there...

How the hell do you remove something like this?

before you start the car, when you turn the key to the 'on' position the check engine light will light up briefly so you can ensure that it's working. in fact all the lights in the cluster do this.

Change the bulb

Yeah thats what im thinkin... the Fkr that owned it b4 just removed the bulb or someting... Gonna have to take the dash appart i guess

Actually, the cluster comes out without taking the dash apart. Just have to remove some hidden screws...

Same thing happened to me the assholes ripped out the cel. I Got a new bulb and sure enough there was a code.

thats actually a pretty good idea if u need to be smogged soon :-)

yeah i got aircare next year.. so yeah... but considering i dont even have a cat... I need to borrow someones.. I dont wana buy one jsut to take it out for a custom exhaust install...

Well the code still comes up its just you cant see it so they will see it anyway.
