Best 19" tires for summer? 235/35/19

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've been using BFGoodrich KDW2s. Loved them, seem to be wearing fast, and loud road noise. Kinda expensive.

One i worn out so I need to get new ones...

    Any other recommendations for tires?

Probably the best value, but definitely not the best tire...

I'll second that. I have the General's right now and I definitely like them for the price I paid. But for overall tire performance I much prefer my old P-zero Nero's.

I'm running Falken 452's. They are awesome on dry roads, some of the better tires I've ridden. In the rain is where they really shine though. I've taken hairpin turns in the rain way to fast and haven't felt slip at all. They're cheap too (I got mine for like 110 a tire). I'll be buyin again once I burn them out.

    General UHP:

one of the Best hydroplaning resistance in Ultra-Summer-Performance tire section. (Wet traction) (check tirerack's test)

One of the cheapest 235/35/19 sector tire. (got mine for $210 USD per tire)

One of the longest thread life Ultra-Summer-performance tire (380 AA treadlife)

handles alright in dry traction, not the best, but acceptable. some ppl been complaining about its soft sidwall compound.

Bought myself a set of 235/35/19 UHP after reading loads of reviews ono Ultra-Summer-performance tire section.

    I'm loving my UHP man.
My area rains a lot, so this UHP will do the job as well.

I am running Nitto Extreme 555 (not the drag radial version) in 235/35/19 and 245/35/19. They have great stick. I have put them through their paces and they hold up great!

Hydroplaning means loss of traction due to a layer of water building up between the road and the tire. You make it sound like the UHPs hydroplane easy, better than other tires. It's the opposite.

    You want a good tire.

A great all-around summer performance tire is the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. I decided to try Bridgestone Potenza RE750 tires on my most recent wheels and I have absolutely loved them. Paired with Quattro, the grip is insane, rain or shine. The Potenza Pole Positions are nice too but I don't think they're worth the money. Michelin PS2s aren't worth the money either in my opinion. I'd go with the GS-D3 or the RE750.

My new Achilles ATR Sports just came in to work today I got them for $334 shipped through work and we will see how they work. Seen them on Ebay and was always iffy but for $83/Tire I couldn't resist trying them.

Thanks all. My current tires are the BFGoodrich KDW2s which are very good. So I don't wanna downgrade at all for sure.

Gonna look into the Falkens, and maybe the Generals.

I've been running Dunlop SP5000's since 2002. Good traction all year round. They show as a summer tire but you cant beat the asymetrical tread in the snow and rain IMO.
